Golden Rules in a crisis

Remember – Abnormal responses are normal in abnormal situations. You may feel tired, shaky or dizzy - this will pass.

Get yourself out of danger first

Then stop close your eyes and do nothing for 5 seconds – this is to calm your anxiety if possible.

Now summarise your crisis

Now work out what you can do immediately

Start doing it or get help to do it

If you are not isolated or alone - Talk to people around you about the situation.
